U CAN STAY AT MY HOUSE LOL I LIVE ON THE SOUTHEAST OF PUERTO RICO YABUCOA  AND YEAH U CAN STAY AT MY PLACE LOL XD

In the metropolitan area you can find cheap motels and inns..of course do not expect any 5 star treatment.. Isla Verde has great spots close to the beach and tourist areas. Also Condado and San Juan. The closer you are to a tourist area the more you will pay.. Also this is Summer and it tends to be a bit pricey..

the cheapest and worth staying is in places called paradores, there is alot of them in the western part of the island, a few in the southern part and one in the north side, non in the east side (for the east side I recommend fajardo inn)  paradores are small inns internally from the tourism in puerto rico, and they are rated every year by the department of tourism and the tourists, so its a very economical advantage and also very quiet and clean.
