can anyone recommend 'quaint' villages to visit in surounding area. Miss Marple type....

  1. York itself is very quaint, also try Harrogate, all of it is lovely you will enjoy it.


  2. There are loads - particularly out to the north. My favourite ones are Hovingham, Coxwold, Easingwold, Ampleforth, Helmsley, Pateley Bridge, Hawes and Thornton le Dale.
