Im going to a new school but i dont want to i dont know how to telll my parents?

Question

heres the thing, im no matter what i have to go to this school. its called lakota ridge and im going to be going into the 8th grade. im really nervous because there's a lot of kids there! theres 700 in my class! at my old school-catholic there wasnt even 700 in my whole school! it goes from kindergarden to 8th! HELP!

There shouldn't be a problem with you sharing your fears with your parents. You can tell them you don't want to go and you're afraid of going; doesn't mean that you won't still go. Just let the feelings out, accept that you are going, and you'll feel better.

ADDED: It sounds like you may be making a bigger deal than you need to be. If this is your school http://www.city-data.com/school/lakota-r... then there are NOT 700 students in your class; there are less than 700 students for the whole school. I thought your number sounded way too large for a jr. high so I checked.

My parents moved so often when I was a kid.  They finally settled into a small town when I was in 8th grade...there were all of 250 kids in the whole school.  A couple years later, they moved to a new town and this school had about 500 kids in it.  Just 6 months later, my family moved again...and, this time, I was thrown into a school with more than 5000 students!  (I'd never known a school could be so large!)

All of this was a huge shock and adjustment and I didn't think I'd survive.  I was scared to death and argued bitterly with my parents.  Truth be told, it wasn't all *that* bad.  It took a lot of time for me to fit in and get used to things but eventually I was okay.  

And you'll be okay, too.  :)

I understand what  you are feeling.  

however, you should understand that situations like this will be in your future

YOu can not hide from change.

You must learn to adjust to what life brings. Do your best, It will pass and you will be thankful you didnt hide from life.
