  1. Patagonia

  2. I just got back, there is so much to do. Depends all on what you are in 2. If you like shopping, the stick to Buenos Aires (I'm assuming you meant the Hillton, BA). BA has so many shopping malls  as well as a few shopping strips (Calle Florida/ Santa Fe). There are also a lot of nice shopping spots in Palermo.

In BA I would suggest to visit all the main sites and to immerse yourself in the social aspect. By all means do the turisty things, but also make friends with the locals, go out to restaurants and bars at night and you must try the argentine nightlife.

The areas to visit within BA: La Boca (stick to the turist area, most parts are really seedy), San Telmo (ibid), Palermo Viejo- Soho and Hollywood, Recoleta (do the cemetary-it's amazing), Puerto Madero (nice area for dinner/drinks).

Just ask at your hotel they will be able to organise heaps of stuff for you. There are also so many amazing places outside BA; I've been told Patagonia and Tierra de Fuego are amazing but unfortunately have not visited them. I did vist the north and found that driving through the Andes was  an amazing and unique experience. You can find Indios villages, bargain in markets, chew on the magical coca leaf and have some truly amazing meals-not to mention the constant view of the Andes!

    Hope that helps

  3. Calle Florida, Recoleta, San Telmo. anything made in Argentina is going to be ridiculously cheap (leather,handbags,ect.). Buenos Aires is without question my favorite city in the world! I am extremely jealous! the nightlife is insane! people don't even go out until 1 in the morning. Puerto Madero for good places to eat.

  4. I like http://www.tripadvisor.com for finding things to do.

Argentina is supposed to be one of the best S American countries, you will have a great time!

Being a swashbuckling archaeologist, I travel a lot.

Below is the best site for travel planning, and has great prices!

    Cheers,
