  1. book equiptment there, its cheaper. 1000 dollars is enuff but you mite need extra for suveniors and things like that so bring like 1200. buy clothes everywear. they sell them everywhere. good luck on the trip.

  2. CHECK OUT SKIUTAH.COM AND ALSO LOOK INTO SOUTHWEST AIRLINES, WHEN MY CHILDREN WERE YOUNGER WE BROUGHT THEM TO PARK CITY SEVERAL TIMES THRU SOUTHWEST, WHY? KIDS SKI, STAY AND FLY FOR FREE!!!! PARK CITY IS A BEAUTIFUL TOWN, PRETTY EXPENSIVE, EXPECT TO SPEND ALOT OF MONEY ON FOOD, THE MOUNTAIS ARE EXTREMLY EXPENSIVE TO HAVE LUCH AT, SO PLAN AHEAD, AND HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME, CHECK OUT THE CANYONS, PARK CITY RESORT, AND DONT SKY AWAY FROM SNOWBIRD AND ALTA

  3. First of all, you are so lucky! All of my calculations can be found from the resort. If you are using a rent-a-car, you may call the local shops around Park City and see if they have better deals than the resort (phone book, online).  Lift tickets for 3 days= $237 for you, FREE for your son if he is still 6. $150 if not. Rentals will run you $22.00/day or $66 and $17/day for your son for $51. You will need to call 2 weeks in advance for your rentals. Also, you will need to book online for your lift tickets. Therefore the total if your son is still 6 is $354. You need to get some good clothing by going to your local ski shop for pants and a jacket. My outfit cost me $198 because it was on sale and I am a snowboarder. Do not get everything at the local shop because they can be expensive on gloves, hats, socks, ect. You can get undercover gear from wal-mart (fake underarmour works well), as well as some thick socks. Get waterproof gloves. Also, wait to go to your shop until closer to April as you may get closeout deals. Food is a little expensive at the resort ($18/ meal) I am sure you will go out a few times as well so you decide on how much food may cost. I think the $646 can buy you food and clothing. Just don't get the most expensive jacket at pants. Have fun on your trip.

  4. $1,000.00 is plenty of money for rental equip., food. clothing & lift tickets for three days. Check out sporting goods stores in your area that have ski equip. & they will have clothing. You can always check an outdoors sports equip. store, they have great outdoor clothing for the cold. Outdoor clothing stores will have great ski jackets & ski pants. If you need a ski jacket & ski pants don't think about getting something cheap, you'll want to stay warm & dry. Stay away from an exclusive ski shop because they are high priced. Make sure the ski jacket is waterproof & line. Buy the ski pants one size larger so you can wear thermal underwear & even a pair of sweatpants underneath them. Don't by your ski clothing in Park City; everything there will be high priced. Make sure you can fit a thick sweater or sweatshirt underneath your jackets. You can get thermal long underwear at places like  Wal-Mart or other clothing stores. Buy the thickest socks you can find, preferably wool or thick cotton. Make sure you buy warm mittens or gloves. Leather are the best but although they can be higher priced, they're worth it. First, the leather is strong & good to grip your poles with & it lasts long. My leather gloves have lasted over ten yrs. so the investment is worth it. These are worth to buy at a ski shop or outdoors store. Buy a good pair of goggles. They will keep your face warmer & they will help with the visibility. Get your rental equip. when you get there & don't book the equip. on-line. You want to try the boots on & make sure they fit right & you want to make sure your skis are the right length. The ski rental co. in Park City will help you with all this. When you get there or you might even check on-line to see if they have a package deal for rentals & lift tickets. Also, sometimes they will include rentals, lift ticket & a lesson if you'd like. They usually have specials on multi-day lift tickets & this will save you money. You should be able to get a 3 day pass. Food is up to you & the prices can vary. Places like Park City have all the fast food restaurants you need & the hotels have restaurants of there own & a lot of them include some sort of breakfast. For lunch you should find a restaurant somewhere on the hill itself so you don't have to come back into town & you can ski longer. For dinner, you can decide for yourself. Some have buffet dinners at the hotels & you can even order a pizza to be delivered. The one thing you don't have to worry about is eating. If you're not renting a car; most ski areas have a free shuttle service that will take you from your hotel to the ski lifts, plus you can take the shuttle all over town to shop & eat. Remember, it's worth it to spend the extra money on a good lined, waterproof ski jacket as well as ski pants & goggles. These are speciality items so you probably have to buy them at a ski shop. The rest of the clothing you should be able to get at any clothing store that won't charge you an arm & leg. Good Luck!!!
