Check out the bus and train timetables.  There's no direct route but you might be able to go through Galway or something.  It'll take most of the day though.

Take the bus eireann. There is a route connecting donegal and dublin daily. Then you could get a taxi ?

The standard train single from Dublin Heuston - Cork is €33, while the flight option seems far better, remember that you need to get to Dublin airport and check in an hour early. Why not treat yourself to the flights and return by train and bus?

i am sure as you dont drive you will be taking  a bus donegal dublin bus dublin cork bus mind you it would take all day as you know bus eireann takes you all over the place you might be able to get dublin cork direct bus or take dublin cork train it may be more comfortable after bus journey
