  1. Dangerous?  They don't have dangerous roller coasters, if they were dangerous they wouldn't be in operation.

Disneyland isn't really even a roller coaster place, it's a theme park.  They have one at California Adventure called California Screamin'.  It's very smooth and in no way would I classify it as dangerous.  There's a few other rides you could call a roller coaster, I suppose.  The Matterhorn, which is really old and rough but still fun.  Space Mountain is awesome and it's designed for you to feel like you're on space.  It's totally dark and all you see are stars.  And Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  If we're being perfectly honest, someone DID die on there, but it was because of a pre-existing medical condition.

As long as you and your daughter don't have pre-existing medical conditions (and they'll warn you about them on signs before you get on the ride...) no roller coaster is dangerous.

    Have fun!

  2. You will be fine,

not a thing there that she can not go on.

if they were dangerous they would not be this HUGE after 50 years.

  3. Well, I LOVE Disneyland. I will be there in October and I am making a dress from Enchanted to dress up in!

It really depends on your daughter's height. There are height requirements so I'm sure Disneyland knows what rides are safe and not.

    Disneyland rides:

    1. SPLASH MOUNTIAN (located in Critter Country)

Splash Mountain is a great ride, especially if you're looking for a cool down from the hot California sun. You, your daughter, and 4 other people (carriers 6 per log) are seated in a log and get to view the most wonderful visions of the south! It is inspired from Disney's Song of The South. The duration of the ride is about 9 minutes. There are maybe 5 drops, but some of which are very short. At the end, you will be dropped a bigger distance, probably at the rate of 40MPH, where you can see some of the park and they will end up taking your picture while you are dropping. The height requirement for this ride is 40 inches, and it is FastPass available since the wait for this ride can range anywhere from 20 minutes to 80 minutes. I strongly reccommend this ride and for you to Fast Pass it. The wait will on average be 30 minutes MAXIMUM, on a very busy day. Keep in mind you may only fastpass one ride per park ticket.

    2. SPACE MOUNTIAN

This is another attraction with a very long wait. I suggest doing this ride in the morning if you arrive when the park opens. There are 6 guests per car and 2 cars per vehicle. It is a roller coaster and there will be many turns, most of which are at a fast pace. You are inside, and it is COMPLETLY pitch dark, although they do usually have some lights that make the effect of being in space. This ride is no more than 5 minutes, it is rather fast but totally fun and a favorite of many! Wiki says the maximum speed is 32MPH, but I always thought it was more. It may be due to the fact that you can't see anything and Disneyland may make you think you're going faster by using machines that cause wind to blow around you. I don't know though. I strongly reccommend this. FastPass availble.

    3. Big Thunder mountain railroad

Now, this ride is fun and fast, but back in 2005 there was a death that occured. This ride is indoor/outdoor, and sticking your hands outside of the vehicle is defenitly NOT smart because it goes fast. I always am afraid of sticking my hands out of the vechicle because it seems you are so close to the edges, but Disneyland probably did make it far enough to where you cannot get hurt.  Here is an article about the death that occured. http://www.aitkenlaw.com/verdicts_settle...

Whether you ride this is up to you, but it is fun and I am sure they do many many tests on this ride everyday before operating it. FastPass availible.

    4. MATTERHORN BOBSLEDS

Whenever I go, this is usually closed. But the Matterhorn is the BIG mountain you see when you go to the park. Trust me, you won't miss it. It is ideal for you and your daughter because it only fits two people per vehicle. I do not believe that you can FastPass this one, but usually the wait for it goes by fast. Here is a picture of the Bobsleds: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Matte...

I would reccommend this one too if it is open.

The important thing you remember is Disneyland has a great staff and they are on top of things all the time! How often do you hear about injuries/deaths at Disneyland? Not often enough to be concerned in my opinion, but compared to Six Flags you hear about those more often. Disneyland also runs their rides before the open to make sure they are safe for operating that day.

That's all I have for now, but if you have any questions feel free to email me: scoobysteph14@yahoo.com

  4. Disneyland has a very good safety record.  Most of the people killed at Disneyland were trespassing (like trying to sneak in for free and so on).  I'd highly recommend riding each ride at least once.  It has dozens of rides and almost all of them are worth the time.  If you're really worried about safety, don't ride in the front of the roller coaster.

  5. If you guys really want roller coasters, next time check out 6 Flags Magic Mountain - the BEST roller coasters in SoCal!!!

  6. All the rides are very safe (believe me, i am an annual pass holder and i go all the time). I have never been hurt once. In Disneyland, all the rides are kid friendly and very enjoyable. In California Adventure, California Screamin is scary because it does do a loop, but i find it very safe and fun. Also in that park, the Twilight Zone tower of terror is there. That is also scary because of the drops, but it is safe and very fun. Like i said, all the rides are safe. Some will be scary at first, but they will be very fun once you ride them. =] I really hope i helped and you have a wonderful time. Disneyland is great. Try to do as much as you can and use fast passes as much as possible to fit more in. :]

  7. Most rides are good and i think they have a sign at the entrance of each ride that rates how scary etc. the ride is.

  8. i went when i was 10, over 5 years ago, and everything was fine.  it's disney, it has good staff and you can ask them if anything is dangerous even though since it is disney and a lot of the people that go are families with kids, none of them should be dangerous.  i never thought they had really intense rides, i don't remember not being able to go on anything.  there should be a sign up if it is dangerous telling certain people not to go on because of their health or other concerns
