Im going to disneyland next year for my birthday what are extra things i could do to make it special?

I want to stay in one of the Disney hotels but i dont no which one to stay at. I know eating in disneyland is expensive but i want it to be a special trip. Where should we eat? Where should we stay? Is there any other special things we can do? Any good tours that will give us the true disneyland experience? Help pleaseee.. I want it to be the best birthday ever.

Get the birthday button from City Hall/Guest Relations/Hotel Front Desk first off..You will be subject to lots of recognition and the occasional magic memory from Cast Members.  

At California Adventure, The tortilla factory usually gives you a fresh bag of tortillas.

Go for the Grand Californian if price isn't important, otherwise the Disneyland Hotel is very nice and lots of fun.  Try one of the character buttons and ask for the birthday pack (its like 5 bucks more) and they usually ring a character over to sing to you with cake!
