  1. Bring as little as possible and wear shoes you can slip off easily because you are going through security and they inspect everything. Don't bring anything with you that you don't want help up in a public area for inspection. Bring a book to read and once your are through security buy some water (it will cost you an arm and a leg) because being on the plane is very drying and you will find yourself very thirsty.

Check on the airline website to find out the exact amount of luggage that you can bring and what can go through as carryon as it seems to change from day to day.

  2. Go on-line to www.southwest.com and they will have a listing of what you can and can't bring on the flight and size/weight requirements for checked and carry-on luggage.  Also the luggage requirements vary depending on your destination.  Domestic and international flights have different rules.  Quickest way through security is don't carry stuff in your pockets and don't wear a lot of extra clothing items/accessories, as they will require you to empty your pockets and remove shoes, belts, coats/sweaters, hats and anything else that looks like it could conceal anything.  Also all personal items, toothpaste, perfume, etc have to be the 3 oz or smaller travel size and in a 1 quart plastic zip lock bag.  Hope this helps and you have a good flight.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to email and I will try to answer or tell you where you can find the info.

  3. i have flown southwest many times, i am a minor but i flew with an adult. it is great, a very simple and relaxing flight, i would dress very comfortable, go onto the southwest website and check regulations for bagage, like what would go in cargo and what you can store above you.
