  1. I have a 4 month old kitten and i give him hard food. a good kind of brand is called MAX.

  2. The whiskas kitten food is ideal.  Also, check out this link.

    http://www.whiskas.co.uk/whiskas/en-GB/Y...

It gives you all the information of what you need before bringing your kitten home.

Good luck - I really miss my cat - enjoy life with yours!!

    :-)

  3. I have 2 cats, and have tried everything thing under the sun from cheapo store brands, to the very expensive vet brands. Essentially, use a good quality dry cat food, and feed her/him about a half cup in the morning, and at night. Remember to always keep fresh water out as well. :-)

You can give wet cat food every now and then as a treat, but feeding the dry type on a regular basis will help cut down on tartar buildup on their teeth.

  4. Unless he has special diet needs any dry kitten food is good.  Be consistent like others have mentioned. Ask what they fed him where you are going to pick him up.  Read the back of the bag to see what the recommended amount for a kitten that age/size is.  Personally I like Purina or Iams, but again just stick with a reputable brand.

Some people swear by giving a cat wet food, but I have never been one of those people and my Vet says it's okay to stick with dry.  Dry is really good for their teeth.

  5. IAMS is good for your cat, and I'm sure they sell it there. The feedings are on the labels, and I feed it to my kitten, and she loves it! You should feed your cat about 3 times a day, or give it in the morning and leave it out all day so your kitten can eat when she wants! You could also mix a 1/2 a can of wet food, and mix it with the dry, so she'll get flavor, and healthiness!

Make sure to provide fresh water!

    GOOD LUCK!

  6. i have 2 cats and they get half a tin of wet food in the morning too share then dry food throughout the evening and also a bowl of water, the food just being wiskers, the tins do state wether the food is for kittens or cats so this will help you out and also online websites are useful too, when mine were new born we bought this cup with measurements on it, this telling me how much to put into a dish for a kitten and so on, think i purchased this fom pets at home.

  7. unless you want to run the risk of an upset tummy and a sad kitty i'd be feeding it what ever it's been getting from where it's been living for 3 months and slowly changing it over to what ever you want to feed it!

  8. my baby is now 3 months old too and I find that feeding her Whiskers kitten food twice or three times a day works for her and me... I also put down a small bowl of dry food that she can help herself too if she wants it... I do the same for my elder cats too, 'wet' food once a day and a big bowl of dried stuff they can help themselves too as and when... I also keep down a bowl of clean water for them all .... If you go to the whiskers site you can send off for a free kitten pack that I found very helpfull ... have fun and dont spoil the kitten too much!  :0) ...

  9. Dry cat food is better for their teeth. Mine get a can of wet in the morning and dry throughout the day.

    Enjoy your new kitten.
