  1. I dont know alot about beardies but I would strongly suggest you dont goto Banfield for anything ever.... The vets and techs get paid by commission so they try to take advantage of you and get you to spend alot more than you need to. Also my neighbors took their dogs there to get rid of their fleas and the dogs came home with more than they left with... cant think of anyone really who has had a single good experience with them....

  2. Let me tell you that getting salmonella from beardies is VERY rare. It's more of a concern with iguanas, snakes, and turtles. I mean you want to wash your hands after any animal you touch, so don't worry about it. Even hamsters, rats, and other rodents, and cats have salmonella.

  3. Anything that lays eggs carries salmonella, but unless you're l*****g your bearded AND have a compromised immune system or are very old or very young, there are no worries really.  Just practice good hygiene and wash your hands after you handle him and you'll be fine.

Most of the time they do not have an active salmonellosis infection and will not spread the disease.  So no worries.  Most salmonella infections are from raw chicken.

To add... I would suggest finding a good reptile vet near you just in case though.  Below are a couple links so you can find one near you.  I'd suggest not going to Banfield... most of the things I've heard about them suggests they know absolutely nothing about reptiles but will see them anyways.
