  1. To some extend yes; but that's very personal experience.  Or it might be as a tourist, I just didn't get to be informed with the really good place for pizza.  Last time I was in Italy, I was with a guided tour; the local guides sent us to the places they thought we should go because they probably were friends with those restaurants; you know how things work universally.  If the tour guide would not tell the tourists the best place to go, we really had no chance to find the best Italian pizza in Italy.

But, if you will be on an independent tour to Italy, you may find some real good pizza there.  After all, all the good pizza we have here in the U.S. are originated from Italy and recreated here by those Italian immigrants and their decedents.

  2. yes

  3. ha haha ahahha, you are probably use to that thing you americans eat and call it pizza!!!

Try the real thing for a change!!!

FYI... we have no pizza hut, dominos, papajones, etc etc etc....

    everything hereb is genuine!

  4. hey

your going to go to a nice place, well I was born and raised there and hard to tell about pizza! pizza is not a a meal is just a snack so wont have as much stuff on it and you can get it from anywhere, don't ask for peperony cuse there would be non and they think you want greenpaper on there...make sure you ask for just the regular chess since some more tredetional chess may make you sick, ciao

  5. italian pizza i very good

    Is not true assolutamete

Italian pizza that is original is fabulous

    Who knows you that combined

    Pizza with chicken etc.

    That disgusting

  6. No thats where the best pizza is(and where it originated from) but obviously food is a matter of opinion

  7. They pour a lot of olive oil over it and they don't use all those fancy 'toppings" like we are used to.

Other than that, I think they are okay.

    Been there, done that!

  8. depends where you going to have your pizza: some place are good, some very good other terrible.

And every region in italy have different pizza: the pizza in rome is really different from the pizza in naples

  9. it is absolutly fantastic. pick a busy place, it means its good. atmosphere is brilliant and so are the people, really great place. i have travelled a lot and they have some of the nicest food, the best atmosphere and it is really pretty

  10. it's the best in the world... it's a national dish: particulary in south italy....

  11. nope

  12. I moved to america 2 years ago. i grew up with italian pizza and I had to get used to the american style of pizza and bread, ecc... I love italian pizza, however, lets be honest, it is allways someones own taste that makes something good or bad, so you should go and find out yourself ;)

  13. I married an Italian. The pizza is totally different than the rest. They don't ruin it with cloud full of spices an meats. I make it from scratch and love it. The Italian sauce is the best however Americans won't like it as it again doesn't have all the spices we put in it. I have Italian recipes that are over 200 years old. They were handed down from generations. I love everything we have made. The red sauce it the best I have ever eaten. I don't go to restaurants anymore and order it. You will find many foods that will be different and most you will like. We too plan on going to Italy this year for two weeks. I'm glad my husband speaks Italian. I hear interpreters cost about 25$ an hour.

  14. It's different..like a tomato pie, no mozzarella...

    It's like toast and tomato.

There are different regions where it is totally different

    than in the States.

Have fun in Italy. I'm going this summer.

  15. How can that be true, if pizza is Italian.

  16. When I was in italy the pizza was fantastic. I guess it depends where you get it. Doesnt pizza originate form italy?! Id like to think they'd get it right!!!

  17. its prob just a different style

  18. Hi, i'm Italian!

In Italy pizza is very good, it's sure!

If you go in Naples (or in Campania) pizza is fabulous!

But one council: you must eat the pizza in "Pizzeria" and not in "Restaurant"...There is a lot of difference in quality and cost!

  19. i've had it's itsss horribleee don't even bother trying it

  20. It's good but not great. Pizza is a mainly american food, so try local italian dishes instead. I love spaghetti pomadoro as a replacement.

  21. who ever told you that doesnt know what authentic pizza tastes like :P

  22. no

  23. ok

  24. eh... ya

  25. Its different to what most are used to because its athentic

  26. Hi! I'm italian!

American pizza is different that italian type!

And pizza is different in every region of italy.

you must eat it, so you can judge!!!

    BaCi!!! KiSseS!!!

  27. the pizza is different but it's good  if you are picky get pizza margerita its the bomb  its just a cheese pizza

  28. Its a different type of pizza...the original way ...

not the fast food types we get here in North America.

I like it...i dunno about the people who told you it was bad.

  29. It depends on your taste. Like me, there are certain pizzas here that I dont like and it depends on what kind you get. They are not bad but sometimes I would start craving a good ole american pizza, lol. You should definitely try it. Hey you are in Italy. Gotta experience to say your opinion. Good luck!

  30. It's Italy....it has to be good....right?? lol

  31. To me it's delicious! But  not the pizza of the street vendors. And the cappucino, ah...could drink their cappucino for days! I just couldn't find the same thing when I got back to America, so if you like cappucino, enjoy! I thought the pizza was great! Especially with salmon or tuna, I know, maybe that sounds gross but it was sooo good! And gelato yum!
