The best way to do this is to buy a motorcycle, maybe an MOT failure or something cheap then use the engine and transmission from it. I had a frame which i made out of tubular steel and put 2 seats in it. the engine and transmission went behind the seats with a chain drive onto a sprocket on the rear axle. I used wheels from a mini and made the rear axle with solid bar which was bushed and run through a tube. the sprocket was fixed to the solid bar. I made a bracket and attached the gear change next to the steering wheel so it was like one of those sequential changes you see in the rally cars! This was very quick and with it being rear wheel drive it was great fun!
