  1. All of the items you listed are allowed by the TSA's current carry-on rules.

    Here's a list of things I usually bring for a flight:

    Sweater or travel blanket (there are never enough onboard and sometimes it gets cold)

    Fully charged I-Pod or MP3 player

    Earplugs/Eyemask (In case it's a long flight and you want to catch a few winks)

    Water bottle (I always bring an empty to fill up after security)

    Snack (I always pack a box of animial crackers in case there's an upset little one sitting near me - twice this year already - works like a charm!)

    Chewing gum

    Medications

    * Toothpaste/toothbrush

    * Moisturizer (My skin always dries out on long flights)

    * Lipbalm/lipgloss

    Hairbrush

    A book/magazine/reading material

    Notebook & pen

    Travel itinerary/travel documents

    Wallet/ID/credit cards/cash/handbag

    Cell phone/charger

    Camera/accessories

    Change of clothing

    Jewelry/anything expensive that couldn't be replaced

    A sense of humor / patience

    P.S. - Remember when carrying liquids *, you need to stick to the 3-1-1 rule. (http://www.tsa.gov/311/index.shtm)

    Hope this helps! Have fun in New York!

  2. i've brought all of that on flights (except for the nintendo ds) and it was all fine you should be okay with all of that - and i would sure bring it on your carry on. have a great trip!
