  1. depends where you live, but for EU, the standard applys.

200 cigarettes; or 100 cigarillos; or 50 cigars; or 250g of tobacco

    60cc of perfume

2 litres of still table wine

    250cc of eau de toilette

1 litre of spirits or strong liqueurs over 22 per cent volume; or 2 litres of fortified wine*, sparkling wine or other liqueurs

£145 worth of all other goods including gifts and souvenirs.

If you have any more than these allowances you must declare the goods in the red channel or use the red point phone. If you do not, you are breaking the law and you maybe prosecuted.

I assume you are buying clothes?

The best tips I can give you is:

    * Take ALL the labels off before you pack!

    * Try to wear as much possible whilst your out there, so they are look used....

    * do not carry ANY receipts/boxes or anything that looks like you have been shopping back with you!  I make sure they are always posted to me after i leave.

Customs are always looking out for US shoppers, and the main things they are concerned with is people buying stuff cheap there, and selling it here.  as long as you are not intending to sell stuff, and you follow the above, you should be ok!  you should not be dishonest of course or do anything illegal! :-)

  2. Just take the tags off every bit of clothes and you'l be sound!
