  1. me too :|

my brother goes to McMaster University and has always been the top of his class. And I'm always being compared to him.

I have the same concern, luckily, all my friends are already in high school, and to be honest, I'm smarter than half of them. And their all in academic classes and they're making it through with good grades. And dont be afraid to ask questions in class, because the more you ask, the more you'll know.

If you really struggle in high school, you could always get a tutor, or you could switch to applied.

But in the end, just try your best, and have the best 4 years of your life.

    i know i will ;)

  2. The main thing here is that you don't compare yourself to anyone else. You are an individual and have different strengths than your sister.

You will be good at some things that your sister is not. Just think about what you like about yourself. Write a list and realise that you are a worthwhile individual. Then, relax and stop worrying about what other people think. Life is too short to spend it worrying.

  3. I tried that last year .. I really didn't like it personally. You don't really learn anything. The teachers just hand you out worksheets and workbooks and you pretty much figure out how to do everything yourself. & you don't get a diploma, you get a GED.

I'm 18, so it's too late for me to go back to high school being that I dropped out freshman year, but if you are younger I definitely recommend going back to school. It is way easier than going through a bunch of c**p just to get a GED. These days a diploma can get you so much further than a GED.

  4. you'll do fine. a lot of people have insecurities.

just try your best and be a nice person.

after that, however you do is fine.

  5. Are you from the UK or a commonwealth? Is this where you study for your A or O levels?

I only really know about American high school but my advice is still be as diligent as you can in your studies while still having some fun with your friends. Don`t worry about performance at the beginning -- concentrate on learning the ropes and getting as much out of the coursework as you can.

You might start out with lower marks than you would prefer but keep working your hardest and you can improve your grades as you move along and if your record shows improvement from where you began then.

You can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

    You will be fine.

  6. Don't worry you will do fine.  I don't know if that's the same as high school but if so you'll have a blast.
