Im going to stay with a host family in japan

Question

and i wanna know how much stuff costs there? i know the exchange rate is like $1-108yen so..how much is like a soda and food and and stuff. list the price of anything you can think of :) thanks.

Eleryth' reply is correct.  I live in Tokyo. Price varies depending on where you eat, buy, etc

In general, things are a bit more expensive, but not by too much. Chocolate bars and candy are about 100yen each, and drinks are about 150yen. The 100yen store (hyaku-en) will be a blessing, as they carry lots of cool things.

Meals are a bit expensive, depending on what you're having. Pizza is quite expensive, too. McDonalds is about the same price, and it's comparable to other fast food restaurants. Ramen is usually less than 1000yen (about $10).

Groceries are a bit more expensive, especially fruit.

I can't recall prices of other things; hope that helps, though.
