Im going to thailland phuket nxt month and i want to buy a .....?

i want to buy a ps3 and im just wondering if i brought it back here in australia will it work and will the games bought in australia work on the ps3??

lol phuket. well if the games look like the games in ur country then it should work. My friend went to china and bought some games there and came back with them. When i looked at it, it was all in chinese and stuff and it didnt work with his ps2. idk if ps3 is different though, maybe the ps3 has the things required to play the disc. but i doubt it. Major corporations dont put in the fact that people might go to other countries and buy games. So i guess the ps3 wont play it if it another language or sumthing.

Most PS3 players and others here in Thailand will play all the different zones for games. You need to check with the shop you buy it from to make sure this is the case.

As far as games, they can be bought for 70 baht in Thailand so why in the world would you buy them in Australia?

Buy your PS3 from a reputable game shop only, not some street vendor and make sure you test it out thoroughly before putting down the cash.

I also agree the price of the PS3 in Phuket may be higher than in your own country.

In Bangkok, you can get excellent prices on players and games, but Phuket might me another story.

Why would you want to buy a PS3 in Phuket. It is a tourist area. Surely the prices will be higher there. And I would not advise it. Not even games. I purchased games in Bangkok and they did not work when I got home...wasted cash. Perish the thought....
