  1. Malones Steak House is excellent.Have a wonderful time at the Kentucky Derby!!

  2. I'd eat at the track.  They have amazing choices on derby day and on friday at the oaks.

  3. Go to the Fish house

  4. you are so lucky to go! bet on pyro and you can go to the country club!

  5. Make your dinner reservations now. You'll probably have to dine late since you haven't made reservations yet. So count on a 9 p.m. reservation at the top places in town.

As for the restaurants, the best include Lilly's, Le Relais, Morton's Steakhouse, Mojito's, Park Place on Main, Equus, Corbett's An American Place, Seviche, Jack Fry's and Uptown Cafe.

I happen to know that Jack Fry's and Corbett's have sold out already, but as of yesterday, Park Place, Equus and Seviche and Uptown Cafe still had some reservations available. Mojito's doesn't take reservations, so that's a good option as well. They have some of the best Cuban food and mojitos (obviously!) in the city.

Good luck and enjoy the Derby!

  6. A few blocks from Churchill (near the Six Flags), there's a couple of national chain restaurants like Ruby Tuesday.  They're not fancy or anything unique to Louisville, but they're always good.

  7. Louisville has several good restaurants. Some of them include:

Lynn's Paradise Café, 984 Barret Ave.

    (especially for breakfast)

The Irish Rover, 2319 Frankfort Ave.

The Bristol Bar & Grille, 1321 Bardstown Rd.

    Café Metro, 1700 Bardstown Rd.

    Le Relais, 2817 Taylorsville Rd.

    Jack Fry's, 1007 Bardstown Rd.

Cafe Kilimanjaro, 649 S. Fourth St at Theatre Square.
