Im going to the iberostar hotel in domincian republic in June any comments from anyone who has been?

i have been to Meliá Caribe Tropical  in Punta Cana,DR.and i had an awesome time. the staff were friendly,absolutely loved the beach, the food was good and the entertainment was also good. i must say i love my stay and will eventually go back to DR soon.

i recomend visiting the dominican republic its a wonderful place to enjoy some relaxing vacations.

Ive been to the dominican republic twice in the last 6 months! absolutely love it and WILL be returning asap.

Its a great experience, beatiful place.

I want to live there one day for sure!! :)

Iberostar in Puerto Plata or the one in Punta Cana?

Anyway both are very good (5*) so the previous comments are from people who don't know anything about traveling!

I've been but not to that particular hotel. My daughter was allergic to the sun and we flew home a couple of days early after having been confined to our air-conditioned room for all but two days. The people are friendly particularly if you speak a little French. They are superstitious however, I believe they border Haiti. The humidity can be horrendous, even the paper money in your pocket is damp. Car washes often operate brothels at the rear. Take time to get acclimatised to the sun, it's very strong. Have a lovely holiday.

My husband and I went to the Dom.Rep for our honeymoon and absolutely hated it.  We went for a fornight, I was in hospital there for a week and then we came home a week early coz it was terrible.
