  2. Hello Dear Jane,

First of all Thank you very much to choose my country for travel...

We are using Yeni Turk Lirasi(YTL) New Turkish Lira

If you want to calculate with your own currency go this web site...

    http://www.xe.com/ucc/

Everything is cheaper than Europe in Turkey.

But If you make a bargain you can reduce the price more...

It is simple to make a trade with my nation. You just have to "act like you are not a buyer..." then they will reduce the price automatically...

    Flexible trade I mean :)

I am not a smoker but cigarette also not expensive...

My nation doesn't know to speak english very well... So get a Turkish-English travel book...

I woud like to write some words to make your travel simple

    Yes - Evet

    No - Hayir

How are you? - Nasilsin?(Na-like Nun S- like silent i - like Iraq L- like Linda s- like silent i - like Iraq n- like Norway)

    I am ok - iyiyim (i - like ill yi-yippee yim- like yippi + m)

I don't know to speak Turksih - Turkce bilmiyorum.

    I don't understand - Anlamiyorum

    Good - iyi

    Bad - Kotu

Excuse me - Affedersiniz or Pardon

    Hello - Merhaba or Selam

Can you help me? - Bana yardim edermisiniz?

I want to go to.............. - ................... gitmek istiyorum.

  3. hi went there twice love it. all the stuff is cheap and food. bring local money and f**s about 3.50-4.00. but be carefull cause a guy was kissing my sis hand and nealy got her ring off her finger but every man wants to be your husband. but i do love the place

  4. lira is the currency in turkey but from what people have said most places take euro's as well so i would take a little bit of lira to last you a couple of days and then change the rest over there as you will get a better exchange rate.

  5. Currency is lira but they will accept £ or euros.  Cigarettes are much cheaper - Superkings around £2.00 a pack.  Many other brands were much cheaper - around £1.00 to £1.50.  Clothes can be cheap if you barter.  Some of the markets in tourist areas can be a rip off ie, Bodrum market - stuff is cheaper in the shops outside the main tourist areas.
