You are allowed to take $9,999.99 with you across the border without declaring it.  You will have to produce a return ticket and show a valid passport to get into the country as tourist.  We take Visa, MasterCard, American Express credit cards in most stores and restaurants and car rental agencies.  I hope you have a great time while visiting and see lots of what this GREAT land has to offer.
