So after watching loads of videos of how they slaughter and mistreat poor defenseless animals, I can't bare to distribute to that. I'm 16 and I never really actually paid attention to this, but I love all types of animals and creatures and I can believe that this is what they do to poor animals just for our taste. So I was wondering what kind of good food and snacks can I eat. It doesn't have to be vegetables because I'm not a huge fan of vegetables, but what are some breakfast and other types of snacks I can still eat. Please help?

  1. You can eat everything BUT meat.

    Here:

For breakfast: cereal, toast, waffles, bagels, muffins, fruits, yogurt, soy yogurt, eggs, mock bacon (fake bacon can be found at most stores), pancakes, french toast, oatmeal

For snacks: veggies (eat your veggies, they are good for you!), fruit, crackers (wheat thins, pretzels, etc), protein bars, raisins/dried fruit,

For lunches/dinners: (side-dishes and main course) brown rice, veggies, quinwoa, salads, bean-cheese and veggie burritos, cheese and veggie pizza, meatless pastas, meatless enchiladas, tacos (with beans, taco seasoning, cheese  fake meat crumbles and whatever else you want), vegetarian soups (just take the meat out and make it with vegetable broth instead of meat broth), baked potatoes, vegetarian chilli

Pretty much any meal you can think of can be made vegetarian. But before you make the switch, do tons and tons of research. Go buy a book on vegetarianism. Look online. Get a vegetarian cookbook. Nothing's more important than your health. What you put into your body is everthing.

Good luck! Here's some websites to get you started.

  2. I grew up around  cajun food, and as far as satisfying cajun cuisine(which is meat-heavy) I have suprisingly found eggplant to be a great substitute for meat in many recipies. When cooked and flavored as you would a meat, it  feels hearty and delicious, and doesn't bother you if you aren't in the mood for alot of "vegatably" stuff. Boca and garden burgers are all very good, as is tofu and soy if it's done right. Eggs, beans, are good for protein and can be delicious, i mean who doesn't like eggs? WATCH YOUR IRON LEVELS! especially if you are female eat alot of iron rich foods like dark leafy veggies and certain nuts. Iron was the biggest problem for me when I started being a veg

  3. I am a vegetarian! U can still eat in many famous places like mcdonalds! French fries...........etc. U can make eggless cakes! U can eat cereal 4 breakfast! Salads are tasty! U can eat corn with butter and salt.........popcorn is fine! U can find ice-cream without eggs!there are sooooooooooo many stuff!

  4. rice crackers & peanut butter :-)

  5. There's an unlimited amount of things you can eat.....fruit, veggies, nuts, beans, seeds, mushrooms, pasta, soya products.....and there's loads of vegetarian products around like vegetarian burgers, vegetarian sausages and even vegetarian bacon. I'd really just advise you to look in the shops near you and see what vegetarian things they have that take your fancy.

Here's a useful page about nutrition for vegetarians and which vegetarian foods contain which nutrients:

  6. Hey.. um, this is a reply for some of the comments below. (YOU NEED TO READ THIS, ALL VEGETARIANS.)

McDonald's fries are NOT vegetarian. They contain BEEF. If you don't believe me, go to their website. If you're asking "How can potatoes contain beef?"... it's the broth. They fry it in beef for some stupid reason and then mislead vegetarians. Same with hash browns.

    And to this question -

You'll LOVE tofu hot dogs with (vegetarian) baked beans, baked potatoes, FRIED potatoes, umh.. there's actually a lot of stuff you can eat without eating plain vegetables.

And if you want to ever go vegan, message me. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.

  7. That's a good thing if you want to be a vegetarian, it's not easy though (real vegetarian) but you could always be a semi vegetarian :)

    Breakfast :

Cereal with fruits, or yoghurt with fruits that you like :)

Bread with homemade jam, fruits, if you still eat egg then you could eat french toast, pancake with ice cream/maple syrup topping

    Lunch /dinner:

you could always eat breads, there're lots of non-meat choices, rice w/ sautee vegetables, pasta agli oglio (garlic pasta), potatoes (mashed potatoes, french fries, baked potato), roasted vegetables, or you could try to eat at a vegetarian restaurant

    snacks :

again, bread, dried fruits, fruits, ice cream, chips, salad :D

    enjoy
