Are you taking him yourself, in the car?

If so make sure he has plenty of water, and as much space as possible.  Do make sure his vaccinations are up to date and give him a health check before you go (check his eyes, ears, teeth etc).  

He should be fine.

what exactly do you mean? just take him a couple of tins of dog food and a lead =)

Just sedatives.  Ferry should have kennels so you can relax
