  1. Im not a rider, personally i dont have time. But my parents (dad) owns his own racing sompany. Im not rich. But if you are a little tight on riding money just find a decent place to have your horse. Yea they are a heck of a lot of money bc they eat too. You need you saddle, your riding gear. Its not something you can do over night. And if you want to buy an inexpensive horse try an auction. You arnt going to go out and buy a $40,000 horse save your money. But horses are something that you have to invest alot of time and money.

  2. Umm...I think you'd better do some more research first.

Yes, it costs a lot of money.  However, I'm certaintly not rich and I ride horses.  I have friends who aren't rich and ride horses.  It's not strictly a "rich people" sport.

Anyway, if you really want to ride there are ways to do it without paying a lot.  What I'd suggest is talking to some stable owners and asking them if you could exchange barn work for cheaper lessons.

  3. I can't afford to ride more than a few times a year and I do not have a horse either.

  4. ummmmmm....I'm not rich.....far from it actually. I bought my horse from a slaughter auction for $250 and I work my butt off hard everyday to keep her at a place........so maybe you should get your facts straight about horses because you dont need a $10000 horse to ride and yeah you actually might have to work to own one.
