Okay ladies.. I need some help! My husband is in Basic Training right now. He DESPRATELY wants to know if we are having a girl or a boy. I find out within the next two weeks. Ive been trying to think of a cute way to do this. I dont want to be like..

Honey,

We are having a boy/girl.

Love,

Me

I wanted to do something exciting.

The ONLY problem is that I am limited to pictures/letters. Nothing else!

I was thinking maybe writing on my bump in lipstick or something that 'Its a ___ !" Then cut it up into like 6 pieces and each letter I send, send him a piece. The last piece will be the one that says either girl or boy.

ANY OTHER IDEAS?!

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. I think you should buy pink or blue stationary and write your letters on them, and the last one you send should be the s*x of the baby pink for girl and Blue for boy. And send pictures of your belly. He'll like it..

  2. that is a cute idea. go with that.

  3. Okay here's my idea-r.

I like where u are getting @ with the whole lipstick on the belly.

(When i was in basic training the mail would come all out of order too so you want to make sure that when u send him each picture that it wont be out of order and he'll get the one that says what ur having.)

SO ~ anywho ~   Write "we" on ur belly and take a picture.  Than wash off "we" and put "r" and take another picture.  Than wash off "r" and put "having" and take a picture than wash it off and put "a" and take a picture and than wash it off and put "boy" or "girl" and take a picture.   (instead of having it's a girl/boy...it's better to have WE because you're involving him in your and the babies life while he is gone in training)

Once you have those pictures developed put each picture in a single envelope and outside the envelope number them in order from #1 (open first) thru 5.   THAN...go out and get a cute small box where those envelopes will fit in and if you want decorate the box and wrap it up and mail it to him.  that way you know none of the letters will get sent to him out of order and it wont ruin the whole surprise and you being creative.   PLUS ~ doing this will put the biggest smile on his face and he'll not only share those pictures with his friends but also keep them forever and cherish them and when he gets home it'll be cute to put them in a memory book for your lil one to see when he or she gets older.

    :)

    good luck!!!

  4. i can make this easy for you, he doesn't care HOW you tell him

  5. maybe a poem?

im making this up as i go along

    its comming.

    its gonna say.ayyy

    its gonna be.great

    it wants its daddy

    to spend all his money?(girl)

    its comming.

    its gonna say.ayyy

    its gonna be.great

    it wants its daddy

to show em how to do karate?(boy)

im not sure if you guys are the poem type.

    but maybe something like that

  6. You should send him a jigsaw puzzle of Its a boy or its a girl and send him a peice a day, its similar to what you said but a little different

  7. send him a greeting card .they have one for a girl and 1 for a boy.when he opens the envelope he will know what you two are having. He will show the card to everyone.Or right a letter and put a pink or blue ribbon in it .

  8. your idea is pretty good. what about sending him an US pic with yellow or green  baby booties? then if you have another pic that shows the gender very definitely you can send that with the appropriate color clothing. for example send him a yellow baby hat and a note that says that you will let him know pink or blue with the next letter. with the next letter send him a copy of the US with a pair of pink or blue booties. make sure he gets the baby a onesie or something like that from the base he went to basic at. at the base my brother did basic and AIT at they even had mini fatigues for babies in one of the shops.

  9. i like your idea.. go with that!!

where is he stationed? cuz my bf's in basic right now too.. at fort benning

  10. That's an amazing idea! That is so creative, and something that he will appreciate and be able to cherish the whole time he is away from you! I love it!!! You are really creative. You should definitely do this! AMAZING

  11. I like the idea of all the pink or blue stationary, I also like your idea..But that might annoy him a bit, Having to wait for each letter (Unless your sending them all toegther, In that case write numbers at the top of the envolope so he knows which order to open them) Another nice idea, Is to go shopping and buy a few boys or girls clothes, Take a picture and send it with the letter.

    Good luck :)

  12. Try putting blue and pink color items arould the room

i think he'll get the hint
