I love both Lola and Lily, but Lily has become rather common recently.  (It's currently ranked #27 in the U.S., and its popularity is still rising.)  Because of that, I would advise you to go with the less popular but just as beautiful Lola.  (It's popularity is rising, too, but right now it stands at slot #270, so it's not likely your daughter would know any other Lola's.)  If you are looking for a good middle name, I think Lola May would be lovely.

    I do like Poppy as well, but I think your daughter would need something a bit more grown-up and sophisticated to use in the academic and business worlds.  Would you consider using it as a nickname, perhaps for Penelope or Persephone?  Penelope May is rather pretty, though I still slightly prefer Lola.

    I'm not fond of Jamie.  Its popularity peaked in the 70's and 80's, so it now feels dated.

  6. I really like Jamie and Lilly.  I think you should spell Jamie without and "e" at the end (so it is "Jami") -- just my opinion though.  It's more unique w/o the "e" at the end.  Congratulations and good luck with the baby!!

  11. I love the name Lilly or Lillian that is one of the names I wanted for my daughter untill I met a friends that named her daughter Lillian 3 years ago lol we named our daughter Marissa

  12. I LOVE the name Lola but my husband wasn't so fond of it (all he could think of was the transvestite in the old Kinks song and couldn't see it for the darling girl's name that it is). Lilly is also super sweet and rising on the name charts in popularity.

    Consider also: Lila...I only throw this out there as it's my niece's name, it's dang adorable and in the same family as Lola and Lilly.

    Lola- Lola is such a sweet sounding name. Everytime I hear this name I picture the cutest, sweetest girl in the whole world.

    Lilly- This name is also a very sweet, cute name.

    Jamie- I love this name. It's a transcending name that she will be able to grow into gracefully.

    Poppy-May- this name is just bad. I'm sorry, but I really hate it.

    Don't go with Poppy-May, it is fine for an older woman, but she may get teased in school. Also Lola sounds better as a younger girls name, not an adult. Jamie is a name that sounds great at any age. And if you name the baby Lillian or Lilliana, she could be Lilly as a kid and Lillian or Lilliana as an adult.
