  1. You could get little picture frames and put "Baby Boy (your last name) Coming Soon" in the frame until you get his first pics done and then send all the people from your shower a pic that size to put in their frames.

  2. get a diaper bag and fill it with un-thought of items....

Bottle brush, nipple holder for dishwasher, mesh laundry bag for tiny things, baby nail clippers, cloth diapers for burping, diaper rash cream, infant gum cleanser, Many of these items can be found in discount stores as well as many other handy items. And you can spend as much or as little as you like.

  3. We got glass candle holders and we wrapped a candle in mesh, then tied the mesh with blue ribbon and a little pacifier that you can get at the craft store.

  4. My advice is to go with whatever doesn't break YOUR budget. Make sure after all of this, you can go and but some bread and milk. :)

To be honest, the favors are nice but it's about the food and the prizes you win for the games. Favors are just stuff to fill in the middle. It can be candy, little nick nacks. But go based on your targeted audience. If you invited a lot of older women, buy a good set of towels or some tiny lotion perfume bottles. If college students, then some pens and ramen noodles.....getting sick now. good luck :|

  5. Have you looked online? Try sites like www.herbabyshower.com They have a variety of things to choose from or help you get an idea of what you like.

As a picky pregnant woman I suggest getting a favor that reflects the mommy-to-be's style or taste. No one wants to come to their own party that doesn't reflect who they are or what they want. Personalized favors or something that can be used (and won't collect dust) are always a nice idea.

Besides guests care more about the pregnant lady being happy and showered, the food, and the good time...what they get to take home is one the bottom of their priority list (or it should be).

  6. Food is always a great favor, decorated cookies or candies in a box or something that looks like a diaper.

For a boy consider sports themes, animals or cars and trucks. Really anything could work just avoid pink. So you can have generic favors that deal with babies and be ok.

    Here are some generic ideas:

    About to Hatch - Timer

World's Gratest Mom - a cheese grater! (Focus on mom instead of baby)

Heaven Scent candle - (It has a little boy on it)

Baby Blocks in blue - Just add the candy (very cute)

    Hope these help.
