Im having my tonsils removed next month.Im scared.I know it will hurt also.?

Is it like super bad pain?Also do you loose your gag reflexes.Im just not sure what im in for.

for a few days it just feels like you have strep. suck on ice or eat ice cream, it helps a lot. dont even try to eat anything hard for a week. when i got mine out, my parents bought a pizza and i really wanted so so i tried to eat it, and it was just painful. when the surgery is over noting feels different.
