  1. There is no reason. You have it or you don't.

    Faith is a gift.

You can't get it from reasoning.

Now, some events you experiment or witness in your life may suddenly change that.

  2. I saw someone else ask a similar question about this. As I was answering their question it dawned on me that by nature, we really don't believe anything. My son, or any young child for that matter, is a great example of this. I tell him to not try to walk down the stairs while he still has his skates on. I tell him that if he tries to, he will fall down and perhaps get hurt on his quick trip to the bottom! He waits until I leave the room and sure enough he takes the first step down towards the basement and all I hear is the loud bouncing of a little boy and the scream that follows as he hits the concrete floor.

Now the next time I see him going down to play in the basement and I see he still has his skates on, and I say don't wear those going down the stairs, he no longer has to believe that I am telling him the truth, for he has tested this maneuver before. In truth he does not believe that he might get hurt again, he knows it. If he had the nature of believing in what he was told, he would have never taken that first spectacular trip in the first place.

Anyone who has children can relate to what I am saying. They do not believe what you tell them, they try it out for themselves and when they prove that what you said was the truth, they then have that truth. But it is not because they believed you at all. If they did, no kid would ever get grounded, or hurt, or lost, or anyof the other thousand things they do when they do not listen to what you tell them, but by their very nature test if for themselves and then know it as opposed to simply believing it.

When it comes to the idea of religion and belief systems then, why would anyone think it was possible to ask another to just believe? It is not something we do well. It is very difficult for us to take someones word about almost everything. We check it out first and weigh the credibility of the situation before we act, and even then we don't really believe what they said, until we find out for ourselves.

So, if this is true, how do we figure out this whole thing about God and this idea of faith that you mentioned? I once believed in a religion and tried to find my answers there, but not being able to prove what was taught to me as truth, I searched elsewhere. I found a methodology, a way to find the spirituality that I was so hungry for. It is not based on religion or any other belief and it allows the opportunity to test for myself the validity of what it says. I no longer have to trust someone elses opinion or experience to make my own.

I linked a website at the bottom if you are interested in checking it out. I hope you find the answers you are searching for and I wish you well.

  3. Anyone else detect the odor of troll poo?

  4. Find the Truth within yourself, then you'll know what's what.

  5. “Have faith in God. For truly I say to you, that anyone who will say to this mountain(ie: great obstacle), Be removed, and be thrown into the sea; and shall not doubt in their heart, but shall believe those things which they said shall come to  pass, they shall have whatever they said.”

    Mark.11:22,23.

  6. Spirituality can be a beautiful thing. If you are involved in a church, try to think outside of your denomination and what they believe. Seek out God (or gods) in your own way. If you find that your beliefs differ from the churches, leave.

Find out who God is to YOU. That's all that matters.

If, after you've really searched, you find no evidence for God, then at least you've come to that conclusion on your own and you know that your heart has led you to that place.

You are a good person. You are who you are no matter what religion you follow.

  7. Have faith in yourself.

    Have faith in your family.

    Have faith in humanity.

    That's more than enough.

  8. I believe in one thing , what Buddha said :

Do not believe anything unless you first understand it yourself by observation

Wisdom saves all the trouble , unfortunalty few of us posses it

  9. Read the Scripture for yourself....and don't accept what abunch of unbelievers on the internet have to say until you check out What the bible says FOR YOURSELF.

    God bless.
