Im having trouble reading "mythology" by edith hamilton, any tips to read better?

Are you having trouble because it bores you, or you don't understand it? The end gets better. The Trojan war part is o.k. but it's not outright boring or really difficult to understand.Oedipus is really an interesting story as well. The adventures of Odysseus are really cool as well, the cyclops cannibal is really interesting.The myths are interesting too. If you're having trouble understanding it, finding another book with footnotes would really help. Also, to understand the gist of the story, sparknotes.com and cliffnotes.com really help. Of course, it couldn't retell the story, but it gives you the gist of the story.

i've read the book. like all books, it's a bit boring if you don't like what you're reading... i managed to read it in 6 days. some parts of it are dead boring but there are chapters which were really nice like the story of cupid and psyche...
