  1. Oh man, i get that allot to!

I’m home schooled so there isn’t as much pressure to do things as there are in normal school.

For a while i just slacked off and didn’t do anything.

Then i tried to get myself to reality and tell myself    ok if i slack off forever im never going to finish high school never going to be able to do collage i need to get myself in gear.

Every time you feel not motivated look forward in your future and see what your going to need to do to fulfill that, most of the time slacking the way you and myself did is not going to cut it.

Well just know you not alone out there and bests of luck.

    xx

  2. Are you looking for positive or negative reinforcements...   if you don't do your work, you will get in trouble.  If you do your work, and do it well, you will be rewarded, perhaps sooner than you think but mainly in the long run because it is you who will have learned something, you that will have accomplished something, and will have met some requirements to get where you want to go later on in life.  YOU are your own motivation.  Drink the coffee, open the blinds, and crack those books.

  3. First thing, stop thinking you need to be motivated to do school work to actually do your school work. You don't have to have any real motivation at all. If you wait to be motivated, you'll probably never get it done.

Second, you can work on creating motivation by 1) having goals you can attain and 2) following through on those goals. The biggest motivator is accomplishing goals!

  4. Homeschooling takes a lot of effort and time, think about this: 1.  How old are you?

    2. is it your choice to be home schooled?

I liken it to on line schooling, you need to be motivated and willing to work hard.  Your parent, or, whomever is homeschooling you need to do their part in making it fun and interesting.  you may have to just make yourself do it, make a schedule and stick to it. take time throughout your school day to enjoy some free choice.  good luck

  5. do what i do make the lessons fun! do stuff that ur familiar with like in maths if the book says 456+360 say 456 laptops + 360 laptops =816

    hope this helped good luck

  6. Look for a different curriculum or create your own. It's hard to be motivated to do work that doesn't interest you. There's plenty of time to have to force yourself to do boring work when you get a job, right now you should be following your passions and learning about stuff you care about, then it won't feel like 'school work'.

  7. with you not being motivated are you learning anything from it?

could it be to hard or to easy for you?

Does the curriculum have to much busy work that you can cut out?

Is it just not your learning style?

Is it losing your interest in learning?

You say your not motivated to do your work but outside your work are you motivated to learn? I would look into other ways to complete the work if you are stuck with it or invest some time into looking for something that works for you.

  8. . EVERYbody feels like that!

    Formal schooling is Totally UNnatural.

Humans are suppossed to be outside planting food and killing animals.

So go OUT and exercise for 1-2 hrs a day. Then when the body is tired, try to do schoolwork. You HAVE to get an education in our modern society.

  9. Much depends on what you are doing for "schoolwork", how old you are and if you are planning to go to college. For a teen ager in high school, if you want to go to a selective, or a good college, then there are some subjects that many colleges like to see, and that means many times you have to take classes like biology, english, history, and math. Now, that aside, being homeschooled, you have the option of studying what you like to study. Judging by your question, it sounds like you take classes or use a certain curriculum. One trick is to find something you like to study and study it the way you want. Instead of reading a history text book or a science book, go to a science museum, or watch a movie or documentary about WW2. For english, research a topic that you are interested in...anything at all. You can do a project on any topic you like, be it anime, or antiques, the history of baseball to a in depth study of the roots of rock music. Hoomeschool is learning about the world, and homeschooling is having the freedom to choose. If you do schoolwork from 9 am to 2 pm every day, change it up, do something later in the day, or at night. Also, if you have to do something and are unmotivated, just start doing it, and reward yourself at the end. Rewards can be anything from watching a movie, to going for a walk, to a night at the movies. If you have more specifics, I can probably help you out more. I homeschooled 2 kids who are now grown, and I have one college prep homeschooler at home. I have used many methods, and each kid was different. My oldest daughter liked studying on her own. My son liked watching movies and reading books, but was not motivated to do classwork, my youngest likes just about everything but geometry but also has some unmotivated days.
