Im hosting a suprise 21st birthday party for my boyfriend. I dont know much about partys. Any suggestions?

I am looking to suprise my boyfriend with the best pary ever. He spent some time in college with the parties and I want to top that. I dont know much bout parties, alcohol, or activities. Any help with any suggestions would be great. what to eat, drink, play, times, ext. any ideas?

Believe me, you do not need to "TOP IT" as far as what he's seen at college.  You will only be asking for trouble with the people that would show up just for the alcohol.  Just keep it simple and have a few friends go to a nice restaurant then you and he do your own quiet thing later.  It is not worth the trouble a big party would cause.  I hear too many kids getting sick and killed.  I'll probably get alot of thumbs down but I do not care.  I do not like seeing young people on the news every day n trouble.

Make a big tray of Jell-o shots:

Margarita Jell-O Shot

3 oz. package lime Jell-O

8 oz. (1 cup) boiling water

4 oz. tequila

4 oz. sweet and sour or Margarita mix

Substitute watermelon Jell-O for lime for a melon margarita.

Strawberry Daiquiri Jell-O Shot

3 oz. package wild strawberry Jell-O

8 oz. (1 cup) Boiling water

6 oz. white rum

1 oz. sweet and sour or Margarita mix

Fuzzy Navel Jell-O Shot

3 oz. package orange Jell-O

Have some beer - just get a 24 pack of Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors Light, etc. A common beer that everyone can drink - make sure it's light though, because people who drink regular beer will always drink light beer, but people who only drink light beer don't generally drink regular.

Have a few friends bring one of these, to make it less hard on you and cheaper - most times people are willing to supply some type of alcohol for a big party:

Big bottle of Vodka

Big bottle of Rum - light rum like Bacardi

2-3 2L of Coke and 2-3 2L of Diet Coke

A big jug of OJ and a big jug of Cranberry

3-4 limes (cut them into wedges)

Lots of plastic cups

Have some food around. Put out some Chex Mix, order a few pizzas, have some chips and pretzels around.

Any gaming consoles you have: Wii, Playstation, etc., have them either put away if you don't want anyone to touch them - or out so that people can play.

Get some music going - obviously. If you have digital cable, then you will most likely have some music channels on there. If not, or if you want the TV to be on for other purposes, then just leave a good station on the radio on.

Have a big birthday cake for you boyfriend.

For decorations: Don't bother. However, if you can, steal his license and blow it up kind of big to hang on the wall. That would be a cool idea since he's turning 21.

People will drink and then be able to entertain themselves, so you don't really have to worry too much about that. Otherwise, good luck!

Ohh sounds like fun! Well first off, with food, I would do something like chips and dip first then you could make pizza too ya know just easy stuff.  Then for alcohol get lots of beer so you can play fun party games and also you could make a big jug of a mixed drink.  Here is one I made one time and it was a hit and its really good! It sounds weird but you put 12 cans of beer, 1 little handle of Vodka and 4 can of that frozen concentrate lemonade, its really good i promise!! Now for games, you could play kings cup, the card game, its really fun and gets everyone involved.  Also, the game apples to apples is really fun for a group of people!
