  1. If you tell the librarian what kind of books interest you, she will be able to help you find them.  If you are looking for a sports autobiography, I would recommend "For the Love of the Game," by former basketball player, Michael Jordan.  It's a very easy read but quite interesting.

  2. ooo well i read the final four mystery its about basketball and some guy named chip graber its about the dukes not sure maybe

i love mystery books just go to your library and ask for some good books they might reccomend or ask teachers or classmates they might give some good ones

  3. The Contender, The Giver (and it sequels), Wuthering Heights (most high schools have you read it, so do it now), Caught in the Act, The Brave, Shakespear Stealer, The Alex Rider books, Time Stops for No Mouse books.

There's more, but that's all I can currently think of.

  4. the giver, litle house on the prairie, telling is the best im telling u

  5. Go to the public library, tell the librarian what you are doing, and what your interests are.

You will be shown a lot of books which you can choose from.

  6. -"Eyes of God"

    -"Devil's Armor" (sequel)

    -"Sword of Angels" (second sequel)

    -Try Eragon and Eldest

    -The Giver

    That's all folks!

  7. I recently had the same problem. I depends on what you like and how well of a reader you are.

For Sports  I definitely suggest Tangerine, not really sporty but it has soccer in it a lot. Girls got Game: Sports stories and Poems. Hang Tough, Paul Mather (more inspirational, then sport, i guess.) I'm not good at sports storeys, and here are some others suggestions to broaden your mind (BTW, Ender's game is kinda sportish, it focus's on a game that Ender keeps wining, which is kinda sportish)

If you like Fantasy, I suggest The Lord of The Rings, Tamora Peirce books (she's the author, and she's written numerous series about teenage girl heroes, Like the Song of the Lioness series, and the Immortals series, and the Protector of the Small series.) The Forgotten realms series, but only the ones by author R.A. Salvatore.

If you like Real life stories, I suggest you read If I Tell You I Love You Then I Have to Kill you, or stuff like that maybe Bloom ( I think it's called)

For Sci-Fi I Suggest Enders Game and the rest of the series, Enders Shadow and the rest of that series, and the little miniseries he writes about the characters. Orson Scott Card is the author and he is amazing. He also wrote Enchantment which is the best, but is more fantasy then Sci-Fi.

For romance, i suggest you read Enchantment, Twilight and the rest of the series and that's about it, though I'm not sure if I would define twilight as romance.

  8. My son liked Bret Favre's book (forgot the title) when he was ~8th grader.

  9. look for one that looks good, then read the first page, if you like it get it...but get alot so you have options

  10. Go to the library and  ask  the librarian if he/she can recommend  any good books on sports.  There are  a lot of books about sports written by former sports stars that are good ( biographies ) and a lot of fiction  ( made up storys ) .  Happy reading!  So many books so little time.

  11. I can't really help you out with sporty books and I'm a girl (although not a "girlie" girl!) so I won't bother posting my own list of fave books.

However I'm also a girl with five brothers so recommendations for you, from my 15 yr old brother, for a good read include:

John Steinbeck "Of Mice and Men"

William Golding "Lord of the Flies"

    Eric Lomax "The Railway Man"

George Orwell "Animal Farm" and "1984"

    Anything by Richard Compton

JD Salinger "Catcher in the Rye"

J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy

    JK Rowling "Harry Potter"

    Richard Harris "Enigma"

    Aldous Huxley "Brave New World"

Jules Verne "20,000 Leagues under the Sea"

Jack London "The Call of the Wild"

Oh and Doris Pilkington Garimara "Rabbit Proof Fence". Actually everyone should read "Rabbit Proof Fence", not only for the (true) story it tells but because my house is mentioned in it! lol!

  12. Go to Barnes and Noble and find an employee to talk to.  My daughter has been turned on to several authors she enjoys that way.  None of them are about sports though.:(

  13. How about a spelling book.  LOL.  Kidding, but spelling is "specifically."

I put "sports novel" in google search, and a list actually comes up, one for amazon.com and then down the list a little bit is actually "teen sports novels."  Check it out.

It's great to read.  Good for you.

  14. same problem. same grade
