Im in CA my ex has gtn park tics in a car that is rgstrd in both our names can I get the dmv to go after him?

i filed for a divorce and he got to keep a car. he was paying it late because the loan was only in my name. the registration is both our names and he has parking tickets that keep being sent to me because he isn't paying them. How can I get the dmv to go after him only. can I show them my divorce papers and will that be enough.

If the car is still in both your names at the time that the tickets were issued, the state is correct in going after you for the payments.  The state is not part of your divorce, so they don't have to follow any agreements in the divorce paperwork that states it is his responsibility.

You could pay these debts, then sue him in civil court.  If you can prove that he was the one with possession of the car when it was ticket then you could win.
