  1. Build a submarine out of a propane tank and pontoons, add harpoons and machine guns put it out on lac leman, and catch yourself a whale. Sell the blubber for lamps.

  2. It is the occasion to learn and stay with yourself. Reading, walking, ... then you have a lots of Cultural events (cinema, theater, ...). If you like to mix with others, I guess you should go for an Apéro in some bars (maybe you will find it funny. Me not but if you do not like to stay by yourself ...). You are seeking for distractions .... The problem is: from what do you want to be distracted?

  3. Tomorrow, when it opens again, go to Off The Shelf English bookstore and buy Inside Switzerland magazine. Great suggestions in there.

  4. Actually very few businesses close at 5 in Geneva on a Tuesday... On a Saturday, yes, but not on a Tuesday (or Wednesday). I don't know what neighborhood you're in but I suggest you check out the shopping area around place Bel-Air and between Bel-Air and place de Rive.

You could also go to the mall at Balexert (take bus 9, 10 or 29 from the main railway station).

A lot of shops stay open until 8 on Thursdays, too.

  5. Move to another place, Southern Europe.

  6. I've been there,go for a walk and buy some souvenir,buy some watch,eat some food,etc.

  7. Walk around, check out the architecture, soak in everything you can, you may never be back there again.

Buy a Tag Heuer watch if you can while you're there :)

  8. 1 -go see a movie,

2- take a train and go to other cities (Lausanne, Montreux, etc)

3- if you over 18 yrs-old, go to the casino (Moevenpick by the airport
