Im in a contract and have heard that i have 48 hours to void it. if thats true then what are the penalties?

check your state's legal guidelines for contracts. Also check the contract itself. You may still have to pay penalties if the contract is written in another state where the law differs from yours.

some states allow a 48-36 hour void clause, however some states do not. I would read the very fine print and consult with an attorney.
