Im in freestyle 1 in skating and was wondering how to get in to big competitions in ct?

im 13 years old practice 2 times a week for 90 min.

  1. You have to have a coach to get into competitions, and you'll probably have to start with "open" competitions.


  2. I would suggest talking to your coach. Most competitions require you to be a member of the USFSA and your club (these are done as a single membership through your club). After you are registered your coach will be able to give you applications for competitions, and help you with a program, music, and costume for your competitions.

  3. Another option is to join the ISI because they are a recreational skating organization and they have competitions for all levels of skating.  It's not expensive to join but you would really need a coach to walk you through the process and to advise you on where and when you should be competing.  Talk to your parents and make sure they know your goal is to compete, because it takes a lot of support from home.

  4. 1. practice more. to practice for big competitions, i recommend at least for times a week and 80 minutes per practice.

    2. get a serious coach

    3. work on moves and freestyle

    4. increase in level; get to at least freestyle 5
