DO NOT PHONE THEM UP OUTSIDE THE UK ! As they will know where you are calling from, and as you should know Sky is for the UK only, they will take you through the motions and once they have the make and serial # of your box it will be forever deleted, when you first got Sky you had to give a UK address and telephone # if that address and telephone # are no longer in use for you, then re-register from a relations address. You have i presume turned off the power for a  bit and tried re-booting? Working Sky boxes can be bought for as little as £20 but any dealings with Sky has to be conducted via a UK landline sorry to be gloomy but many pals of mine have shot themselves in the foot by contacting Sky whilst abroad

Howerver SKY TV is only ment for the UK market so be sure to put in a UK line number when asked for it, and block your calling line ID before you call.
