Im in highschool now I was wondering do you have to play football in highschool to play for lsu in college???

  1. Um, Im pretty sure LSU is a division 1 school. and for most D1 schools you need to play all through high school. I started this year (my sophomore year) and i still hope for playing for a D1 school. But, to answer your question, you should play for at least 3 years of your high school career.

  3. Not necessarily.  You can try out for the team as a walk-on, but the coaching staff will probably take you more seriously if you had some experience.  

  4. If you have the skills, you can walk on and make the team. I would highly recommend playing in high school, though. It allows you to develop football fundamentals in a way that would otherwise be pretty much impossible.

  5. You would have heard from LSU by now or you can try a walk on when you get accepted at the university.
