  1. Phone the home office / authorities before attempting to get back. So they can advise you accordingly. Do not try to get in without it.

If you are a UK national / citizen the Government has a resposibility to protect you, so your return should be hassle free.

  2. Get a new passport.

  3. Phone the British Embassy they´ll give you all the information you need.

    Fax: (+ 34) 933666221

    E-mail: barcelonaconsulate@fco.gov.uk

    Consul General: David Smith.

HM Consul  Trade and Investment: Andrew Morris

British Vice Consul and Head of Consular Section: Mark Smithso

        * Passports

Passports are not issued in the British Consulate General in Barcelona. Applications for new passports should be made directly to the Consulate General in Madrid.

For further enquiries about passports for the UK, please call: 807 42 90 26 between 09:00 and 17:30. (This service is provided by Abtran, calls cost €1.16 per minute). Please note, this number does not work from outside Spain.

The UK premium numbers (0906 664 1717) will service any calls from within the UK from family members or prospective employers etc..of applicants residing in Spain, with enquiries regarding status updates or general enquiries. The lines were set up to assist applicants further with enquiries, who may not have access to premium numbers themselves within the countries listed above. The service is operated by ABTRAN and calls cost £1.50 per minute. They will operate between 9am - 5.30pm UKtime Monday to Friday excluding UK bank holidays.

You can download passport application forms from here or alternatively collect them from our offices in Barcelona.

        * EmergencyPassports

If you lose your passport or it is stolen, we may issue you with an emergency passport for a single journey to the United Kingdom. You will need to come to the Consulate and complete an application form, provide a police report on the loss of your passport, 3 photographs, and any identification documents that you still hold. In addition, should you have it, your airline ticket (or a letter from your tour operator confirming your identity and flight details).

The current fee for issuing an emergency passport is €82 during normal office hours. In addition, there is a further fee of €179 per hour required to attend the Consulate General if an emergency passport is to be issued outside of normal office hours. Bothfees are subjecttochange

  4. Go to the UK embassy and get it sorted. It will cost you though...a bit more than if you were doing it in the UK.

  5. if your a British citizen then they will probably let you travel home with out a passport but they won't let you back till you have a new one.

  6. Contact your embassy...

  7. go to the nearest consulate.  They should be able to get you a new one.  You should probably have been on top of that, but that's what to do...where, exactly, are you?  there will be consulates in most major cities.  Embassies in Madrid.

  8. For a new passport you need to contact the British Embassy. It can be done but it will cost you.

  9. You'll have to go to the embassy to see if they'll grant you a new passport. alternatively, you could always go to the airport and act dumb and try your luck, they might just let you through and either have pity or just not notice. That way you can get a new passport in England and save a ton of cash.

  10. lol

  11. you'll need to go to the nearest British Embassy and they will be able to sort out the correct paper work for you.

here is a list of the addresses of all the embassies in Spain:

  12. just do a crime and be deported

  13. Go to your local British Embassy or Consulate and get advice

  14. Embassies are to promote British interests in a foreign country. It is the Consulates which provide services to UK citizens. Sometimes these are housed in the same building as the Embassy but in the case of Paris at least the Embassy is this huge impressive building whereas the consulate was a tacky little office on the third floor of an apartment building a few hundred metres away if I remember rightly. I would suspect that Madrid would be the same. If not in Madrid you may find that there is a Consulate much nearer to hand and they should be able to issue a temporary passport or other emergency travel document.

  15. Just go the the British embassey. It is no big deal as we are all the EU now.

  16. it's inside the EU, so you will need no visa. As far as I know, you only need the passport if you go by plane... but if you take the train (Eurostar) or the Eurotunnel, you don't need a passport as far as I know. But I'm not 100% sure... so maybe you should just phone the train company...or call the airport and tell them your problem...or you could call your local municipality from Spain.

  17. Contact the British Embassy. They'll make you feel like a moron, so I won't ;-)

  18. Bye! bye! Just let the government know. They will throw you out anyways.I don't think emergency visa will work.

Now think about an illegal way.

  19. You need to go to the British Embassy in Spain and they will advise you on how to obtain a new passport.

There is one in Madrid below tells you opening hours and address:

    http://www.britishembassy.gov.uk/servlet...

    and one in Lisbon:

    http://www.britishembassy.gov.uk/servlet...

  20. Yes, you need to contact the British Embassy in, Madrid Spain:-

    www.britishembassy.gov.uk

Either that or get on that beach Missy!

  21. If you are a British National; you shouldn't be needing a Visa to travel to an from Spain.

If you are not from a EU country, look for your country's embassy or High Commission in Madrid. Go seek their help ASAP. They shoud be able to provide you with a new passport or at least an adhoc document. You can then go to the Spanish Foreign office in Madrid an get a Visa on that doc.

  22. You're screwed! Get use to Spain! You may be there a while.

  23. Apply for Political Asylum and maybe you can stay forever!!
