  1. First of all you are not IN the Army you are in DEP.  If you are in fact pregnant they will DEP discharge you and will not be shipping to boot camp at all.  You cannot enlist in the Armed Services as a single parent so unless you are already married or planning on marrying the dude you need to find different life plans.  You will not get paid a cent from the Army for this because again you are not IN the Army.  You need to go to a real doctor and take a real pregnancy test.  If it is positive take the printed test result to your recruiter so they can process the paperwork to discharge you from DEP.  Don't try to hide this from your recruiter or try to go to boot camp pregnant. You get a pregnancy test first week of boot camp so you will be kicked out of boot camp instead.  Do what is right by this baby and start getting help from your parents/family to make sure you have a healthy pregnancy with regular medical care.  Having a baby is a huge life change that you will soon realize and being a new recruit in the Army does not support.  Good luck and take care of the baby.

  2. you wont be discharged because your technically not in the army officially yet. you tell your recruiter and then they bot your bum. when baby is born you have to go through everything again at meps n all that cause it will have been over 6 months. you wont get maternity leave because you cant go if your prego, and your not in the army yet. not until you have sworn in the second time the day you leave for basic.

  3. First, take a test and make sure before you jump the gun. If you are in the DEP program, you will be discharged from the program. Your enlistment would be canceled. Your contract will go away. You can try to enlist after the baby is born, but then you will have to meet the enlistment requirements as a parent. If you are married it will be okay and you can probably get back in. If you are a single parent you must give custody over to somebody while you are in training and then you can try to get your child back after you complete training. You only get maternity leave if you are currently active duty and have completed training and are at your permanent assignement. Your recruiter is going to be very mad. When you sign your contract and agreement for the Delayed Entry Program you sign that you will maintain your enlistment eligibility. You failed to do that if you got pregnant.

  4. I'm pretty sure you will get maternity leave so you will be able to stay with your baby for a while but you will have to go back afterwards.

  5. All females take a pregnancy test at MEPS,

The day before they are shipped to basic.

If you are pregnant, you will be discharged from DEP.
