Im in the marines now and i was wondering what i need to become a state cop

im in the marines im in the infantry ive deployed to iraq twice and about to get out of the marines in 2010 and i was wondering what i need to become a state police officer and also what i would need to get a job as a federal cop like the DEA

Unless there's something in your background prior to the military (you wish to hide) I don't see why not, just apply to the proper agency.  Hopefully your military experience will help.

Qualified applicants are in demand. Their are several federal police officer jobs and federal criminal investigator jobs available. Some federal agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) do not require college for their police officers. Most federal criminal investigator or special agent jobs such as those with the FBI, VA, or DEA usually require college. If you are considering a career as a law enforcement officer, it would be better to go to college first. It will benefit you in many ways before and after you are hired. Learn how to lie so you can cover you and your fellow police or falsely accuse someone.That is how most police officers operate.But hopefully you are not like that we need at least a couple of honest police.
