  1. it's actually citizenship not nationality. for nationality your child is basically half filipino half indonesian. for the citizenship there are certain requirements for every country. so if you are staying in japan and the child will be born there his/her citizenship is japan. but you are also allowed to get dual citizenship so you can either choose to give the child indonesian or filipino citizenship. and then you will be applying for two passports. one from japan and one from either the philippines or indonesia.

  2. i think your child should be able to get indonesian citizenship (following the citizenship of the father). not sure if you can get dual citizenship. perhaps you can check with your embassy in japan.

  3. i think that makes your kid tongan

  4. the child will not have Japenese citizenship,

Japan does not apply citizenship by birth in Japan........

he will get dual citizenship of Indonesia and Philippines......after a certain time of living in Japan, he may get citizenship......

Japan does not allow dual citizenship...

so a choice will have to be done.

  5. Japan use the  principles of jus sanguinis (right of blood). You child would need to be naturalized to attain Japanese citizenship (he would also have to be 20 years old and renounce any other citizenships).

Philippine citizenship will be passed down from the mother.

Indonesian citizenship will be passed down from the father

Indonesian law states that the child is a citizen of Indonesia until his 18th birthday. And between his 18th birthday and his 21st birthday he must decide on Indonesian citizenship or another citizenship. If s/he doesn't renounce any other citizenships the Indonesian citizenship will be voided.

Indonesia just changed their laws in the last couple of years and any country may do so at any time.

Be sure to register the child at both embassies!

  6. Unlike the US, Japan does not confer citizenship to someone just because he/she was born in Japan.  The child should be eligible to inherit either the citizenship of the parents.

  7. Japanese.

Ethnicity yes. But will be born Japanese.

Passport? That one i don't know.
