Im just wondering whats a great way to tune yourself?

  1. Sax, unlike clarinette, flute, or tuba doesn't have many moving slides or parts to put together.  A sax should basically be in tune once put together, You don't tune the sax, you tune to the ensemble your playing in and that is by minor adjustments in the neck, but mainly with your lips, more or less tension on the reed.

    You can buy a tuning fork just for fun.


  2. most concert band instruments like to tune on either a concert F or Bb... but sax should really tune on a concert A.  the best thing you can do is really use a piano or any other way to produce an in-tune A and sing it and then it would help you be better in tune when you go and play it.  every musician should also have a tuner.
