it's your body you could wear whateva' u feel like but if u want other peoples opinon then i'd suggest either one with a skirt or connected only from chest to thigh

It's a matter of personal taste here it seems.. in your case, what works best would be a a dark colored one-piece with a vertical pattern.. it hides and elongates your body.. making you look thinner/ taller as a side effect. (Personally I like 'chubby' women, but I digress..swimsuits are a challenege to those even with ideal body types)

my opinion is if you got fat hanging over your bottom piece you shouldnt be wearing it and def should be in a one piece  but if not a little pudginess never killed anyone

a black swimsuit. The color black makes you look tinner. Also a black swimsuit with white strips on it makes you look like you have natural curves.

Chubby? I bet you aren't as chubby as you think you are. If U  are uncomfortable go with a one pc, no skirted suit!

maybe a tight 1 piece, but dont get the one with the skirt around it, that is so old fasion

I am 5'3 and a little heavier than you, and I LOVE tankinis.

They come in allll different colors and styles (i prefer halter) and they hide any belly issues.

If your "issue" is with your hips or butt, don't get boy shorts. It might be tempting to go for more coverage, but boyshorts only look good on girls with boyish type figures.

Go for regular bikini bottoms to go with the tankini top.

Also, you could always go with a one piece. They make really cute styles now, with s**y cutouts and low cut cleavage showing styles.
