  1. Chords tend to fall into various keys, and the chords in a given key tend to sound good together.  Stringing a bunch of chords that don't belong together in the same key usually doesn't sound all that good unless you really know what you're doing.

I would recommend that you get a couple of beginner books on music theory and learn about keys, and scales, and how chords are constructed, and how keys and scales and chords all interrelate to each other.  Some basic knowledge of music theory will help you put your lyrics to music as well.

Beyond that -- you've only been playing for 2 months, don't have unrealistic expectations of what you should be capable of.  You're still very much a beginner!  A few guitar lessons would be very helpful to make sure your hand and finger positiions are correct and that you're not developing any bad habits.  And of course you should be tuning your guitar every time you practice -- if you're not in tune you WILL sound like c**p.

  2. the best thing would be to get a teacher, because there is no way to really see what you're doing wrong or help you without being there and seeing you play. sorry

  3. learn to play better
