  1. Im sure you will make lots of friends, but as for being a midwife I dont anyone who knows anyone who has had a midwife, maybe there is a demand for them that I just dont know about, but make sure you do your research and move to a city that has the highest demand. Good Luck!

  2. First of all, we all think British accents are hot so you won't have trouble making friends! While you're here make sure you travel around and have fun. I'd recommend using  http://www.studentuniverse.com/ to save money on your travel when you're going home and coming here and traveling around. Good luck and don't be shy!

  3. I'm sure you won't have any problems, as your college would be a great social outlet, as well as place to learn.

Most colleges in USA have a "student union" and places to go to meet people, especially if you eat in school cafeteria, and there is a good social life after classes.

So you can learn more about midwifery in the USA and job openings, I've provided a good webpage for you to look at, in case you haven't found it yet.

We have many communities in the USA who use midwifery a lot including several old-time religious groups, (Amish, Mennonites) and neo-pagan, and natural child-birthing groups.
