  1. I visited this city in the autumn.

If you young also like to dance, I recommend Disko-club "Shizgara".

    Nice strippers to!

One advice - study the Russian alphabet.

  2. Whoa.  Tomsk is going to be quite an adventure for you, believe me!  Do not be fooled by the fact that it's metropolitan - seeing an America in Siberia is very rare.  You can certainly have a great time, but prepare to experience a lot of inconveniences.  Customer service is catching on in Moscow and Petersburg, but you will not find it in Tomsk.  It's also unlikely that you will encounter very many English-speaking people.  Everything will be written in Russia, so you'd best familiarize yourself with the alphabet and you will definitely need to know some key phrases.  This is especially true when you dine out.  Corruption is widespread.  Do not let yourself stick out in crowds.  Always have your passport on you because the police do not need a reason to stop you.  My father is somebody who has traveled all over the world, but when I told him "this ISN'T anything like Western Europe" he refused to believe me...until he experienced the magic of the Communist Bloc himself.

Wiki has a good page that summarizes Tomsk:

I'm an American who I lived in Ukraine for three years, so if you have any specific questions, I have almost all the answers. You can email me at sircaptainwacky (at) juno (dot) com
