Im looking for 10 things that u look for when going to a restaurant, and what makes u choose to dine there?

would like to know what you expect when you go to a restaurant,

what u like to see,

what do u expect from the staff,

anything to do with when u go to a restaurant and what makes u go back,

1: type of food they serve,whether ethenic or traditional

2: overall appearence,cleanliness and surrounding atmosphere

3:how I was greeted upon entering

4: how long it was before being seated,if not busy

5: promptness of being waited on after being seated

6: attitude of person taking my order

7: quality of the service I recieve,when I order

8: quality of the food served

9: will they take it back if it's not the way I ordered it?

10: 4 and 5 star ratings,forget it.Too high class and cost too much,as well.3 star,maybe,but not likely. 1 and 2 stars,they have better service.

A very polite and smiling server to say thank you and come again.

What would make me come back, is the service was AWESOME and everyone was cheerful. Without a cheerful crew it tends to set the pace and attitudes to customers and if they are negative or not attending to the needs, I would not come back.

One thing that really erkks me, is when the place is dirty and people are just standing around gabbing and leaning on walls or whatever.

It's funny how people answered your question. I am a waitress, and I was interested in what people had to say. A few said "fun"??? And what does that mean?

I like how people want this or that in a restaurant, which of course, I do too. But people don't take a LOOK AT THEMSELVES. You would not believe how miserable a lot of people are. We'll try to joke around with some, and forget it. Usually you can tell who the people are but some shock you. The general public is not nice all of the time.

I work in a local owned family restaurant, and we try to make small talk with people, trying to getting repeat customers, but it is hard. It's like people who don't know what they want, and they stare at the other person. Like, the menu is on table, not at your guys face. Or you'll stand there, and it's like "I failed mind reading class".

I always said that each person should have to wait on tables for a little bit and learn something.

But enough of that, that was a good question to ask!!! And my answer is basically everyone else's. Clean, good food, good service, and good prices!!
